Make it Easier for Recruiters to Know You

If you’re looking for a new job, remember that recruiters need your help, too.

The past few years have been rough for companies and professionals alike. Setting aside the drama, companies are facing the long-term consequences of overhiring, poor product-market fit, and rising operational costs. This in turn has displaced many jobs, leaving many people to compete for the same opportunities, to rethink their career path, and potentially brace for many more months of unemployment.

๐Ÿค” We know what companies can do to help the situation heal. But, in the meantime, what can job seekers do to make it easier for recruiters to successfully fill the job openings to come?

It’s simple:

(1) Be clear on who you are

(2) Be concise on what value you bring

(3) Be confident in why you and your value matters

๐Ÿ” Take a quick audit of your job search strategy. If any of those 3 are lacking, take some time to get it back on track else your job hunt will continue to feel like you’re playing the lottery.

I know times are rough. I know it’s easier said than done. But, you got this. Read a book, learn a new skill, ask for help — you can and will do whatever it takes to get your career back on track.
