Relationships, not transactions

When was the last time you reached out to someone new just for the sake of meeting new people?

I bet if you’re like the majority of people out there, it’s probably when they had something you wanted.

Maybe you need their expertise to do something for your initiatives at work.

Or maybe you’re job hunting and you want a referral link from them.

Or, if not that, an introduction to someone else.

Who are you more likely to help? Someone who’s first words to you are “hi, can you give me this, please?” Or someone you built a genuine relationship with bonding over common ground?

Genuine networks are build on relationships, not transactions.
